COPE LOSES THREE MORE LEADERS TO ANC

Reports emanating from all over the media confirm that 3 Congress of the People (CP) leaders have gone back to the African National Congress (ANC) where they came from. The trio are John Ngcebeletsha, Lunga Kepe and Onkgopotse “JJ” Tabane.

ANC leaders are said to have welcomed them with open arms, immediately deploying them to their former branches to help prepare for the upcoming local government elections. Unfortunately they will not be resuming their former positions, having left to join the fledgling party when it was formed just before the 2009 General Elections.

Of course a number of other former CP (also referred to as COPE) leaders have returned to the ANC over the past year as it became clearer and clearer that they had wasted almost two years of their lives on a big hollow chocolate bar. The infighting brought on by the two leaders Mr Lekota and Mr Shilowa has left the party in serious tatters, prompting yours truly to speculate on a two-way split.

We expect more leaders from CP, IFP and even the DA to return to the ANC as they become more and more disillusioned with their new homes. Such is the politics of Mzansi.
