PRO LEAVES TS RECORDS

Pro, who used to be known as Pro Kid, has left DJ Sbu and TK Nciza’s record company TS Records. The Soweto-born rapper who recently became the face of brandy brand Flight of the Fish Eagle, was signed by TS a few years ago after he left Gallo Records.

According to a story by City Press, the musician said he wanted to grow not only as an artist, but also as a business man in the industry. There is no bad blood between him and TS. Yet in a response which sounded much like what the ANC said when COPE was formed, DJ S’bu was quoted by the paper as having said that he feared Pro would not make it out there on his own.

Pro is not the first artist to leave TS Records. Other names such as Brickz, Ntando and Brown Dash have also come and gone from its books. But at the same time new talent seems to be emerging in the form of 23 year old Zahara (real name Bulelwa Mkutukana).
